Zabazungu John, a tycoon from Mukono district has passed on today.

Mr Zabazungu was wheeled out of ICU to Equity bank Wandeya branch, a Kampala suburb to authorize the withdrawal of medical fees.

Say NO to corrupt Atigo anointed candidate, Henrietta Nairuba Wamala,’ says Unaa presidential candidate Frank Musisi Whisper Eye Reports.

As we drew close to Uganda North America Association (UNAA) elections presidential candidate Frank Musisi has asked Ugandans not to vote Henrietta Wamala Nairuba Ssenabulya.

Mr Musisi claims that the out going president Monday Atigo is corrupt.

And he (Atigo) has decided to anoint Henrietta Wamala Nairuba to succeed him.

NRM’s UNAA presidential candidate meets president Museveni, funds her campaign

National Resistance Movement (NRM) Uganda North America Association (UNAA) presidential candidate Henrietta Wamala Nairuba Ssenabulya meets president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Nairuba together with the outgoing Unaa president Monday Atigo met president Museveni over UNAA elections at Entebbe State House.

A reliable source informed The Whisper Eye that the meeting took four hours between 1:00am – 5:00am.

People Power recruits anti-Museveni youth group a head of 2021 presidential elections

People Power Movement youth wing leader also Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake Butebi has recruited the People Power National Youth Brigade (PPNYB) into national main structures.

PPNYB is a youth group mobilising Ugandans to vote for Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine in 2021.

The group has structures national wide, and has traversed various areas arguing Ugandans to vote for change in 2021.

Uganda blocks introduction of new fish species from China

The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries has halted a move by a Chinese firm to introduce, breed and grow exotic species of fish in the country.

Dr Anthony Taabu Munyaho, the Director National Fisheries Resources Research Institute, says that the proposal was tabled for review by a Chinese investor. He, however, adds that they rejected it citing the numerous risks.

Dr Munyaho adds that Uganda has over 500 species, all them edible, which have been developed to commercial levels than making new introductions.

Namboole stadium seek UGX 15bn for CCTV cameras, fence

 Mandela National Stadium is seeking 15 billion Shillings for acquisition of security equipment and to erect a fence.

The budget is revealed in documents submitted to Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) –Central Government by the Stadium Managing Director Jamil Sewanyana.

The documents were demanded by PAC Chairperson Nathan Nandala following a revelation in the June 2018 Auditor General’s report that the Stadium had accumulated domestic arrears of 875.3 million Shillings.

NRM, Mukula, FUFA fail to pay Namboole stadium UGX 1.1bn

The Mandela National Stadium commonly referred to as Namboole Stadium is in a financial crisis with four of its tenants owing management 1.18 billion Shillings.

The major debtors are Fortune Energy Limited owned by former MP Captain Mike Mukula to which Mandela Sports Hotel was outsourced (735 million), National Resistance  Movement-NRM Party (150.8 million), Federation of Uganda Football Associations –FUFA (205 million) and Pioneer Easy Bus Limited (91 million).

People Power’s UNAA presidential candidate in a tight race with NRM’s Nairuba

Ugandan North America Assocition (UNAA) vice president Eng. John Julius Muwulya backed by Bobi Wine’s People Power Movement facing  off with NRM’s Henritetta Nairuba Wamala Ssenabulya for UNAA presidency.

Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine endorsed Eng. Muwulya last month as the Power Power candidate in the UNAA presidential race.

National Resistance Movement (NRM) has two candidates in the race; Frank Musisi and Henrietta Nairuba Wamala Ssenabulya.

Police arrests a son attempting to kill his father

Alinda Bosco (26years) has been arrested by police in Kabale after attempting to kill his father Munvaneza Stephen (66years).

Munvaneza was with his friends at Bulimba Primary school where Alinda attacked him with a panga.

An eye witness has told The Whisper Eye that Alinda came with a panga and attacked his father.

Police arrests a criminal gang in Kampala

Central Police Station (CPS) arrested a number of youths under a notorious criminal gang commonly knowns ‘Digital group’ today.

Arrests include Julius Wire, Abdul commonly known as Smart and others who have been not Identified.

Julius and Abdul are the gang leaders who plans all missions.

DIGP Gen Muzeeyi cautions Police officers against detaining children

Maj Gen Stephen Muzeeyi Sabiiti, the Deputy Inspector General of Police- DIGP, has cautioned police officers against incarcerating children.

Sabiiti, who was speaking at the launch of children diversionary guidelines for police officers on Thursday, said police officers detaining children do more harm than good thus affecting their physical and mental development.

Detained children, according to Sabiiti, often become hardcore criminals. This, he attributed to the fact that during their incarceration they find themselves in an environment where they meet and interact with adults imprisoned for various crime.

Excitement as King Oyo of Tooro visits Kigezi

There was excitement in Rukiga District on Thursday when the King of Tooro, Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV visited the area.

King Oyo who was accompanied by Tooro Kingdom officials arrived at the border of Kigezi and Ankole at Rutobo in Ntungamo district, amidst jubilation from residents and leaders.

The King first toured Satellite Hotel Rwahi before he drove in a procession led by traditional dancers and a brass band, to the home of the late Paul Ngorogoza in Kitaburaza village, Muhanga town council, Rukiga district.

Bagungu’ plan fail of seceding from Bunyoro

Bagungu’ plan to secede from Bunyoro Kingdom would fail since the Katikiro Byakutanga Andrew has not yet acknowledged on the official communication letter delivered to him.

The official communication letter dated 22th July 2019 delivered to the Katikiro quoted the subject to article 246 of the 1995 constitution of Uganda, and section 3 of the institution of Traditional or cultural leaders Act 2011.

The institution of a traditional or cultural leader may exist in any area of Uganda in accordance with the culture, customs and traditions or wishes and aspirations of the people to whom it applies.

Entebbe Airport expansion set to improve aviation safety and security –CAA

The Director-General of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority David Mpango Kakuba is optimistic that the expansion and upgrade of Entebbe International Airport will boost Aviation safety and security.

Kakuba was leading a team of Members of the Infrastructure Committee of Parliament and the Joint Transport Sector Review to monitor the progress of the airport expansion and upgrade. He said that Entebbe International airport receives much more passengers than it was supposed to receive at the inception of the Civil Aviation Authority in 1991.

‘I will defeat Museveni in Gomba District’, says Bobi Wine

People Power Movement leader also Kyadondo East legislator Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu a pop music star turned politician popularly known by his stage name Bobi Wine vows to defeat president Museveni in Gomba district in 2021.

Gomba is the home district to Bobi Wine and is the district of resident to Mr Yoweri Kaguta Museveni where he has a large Kisozi farm.

The two leaders are in a cold war fight over the district.
