President Museveni switched to Namibia after Rwanda – Uganda boarder saga

Uganda’s president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has embarked on efforts to create more trade links after losing Rwanda Market.

Since the beginning of this year Rwanda-Uganda relationship has failed to stabilised. Rwanda closed her Uganda broader for over three months.

And the after math, of Rwanda-Uganda boarder closure has ultimately affected Uganda’s economy.

Last month Uganda’s minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives hon. Ameria Ann Kyambadde advised traders to abandon Rwanda market for DR. Congo, South Sundan among other countries.

Yesterday president Museveni hosted Namibia’s Deputy prime minister Netumbo Mandi – Ndaitwah at his farm in Kisozi, Gomba district.

Mr Museveni discussed many issues among which signing momeradum of Understanding on trade.

“No country can become prosperous alone. We need each other. We have agreed to sign MoUs on trade and diplomatic relations to cement our already existing historical ties.” President Museveni said.

Ms. Netumbo delivered a special message from Namibia’s president Hage Gottfried Geingob to president Museveni.

Netumbo is a cattle keeper in Namibia.

With the new trade deals from Namibia Mr Museveni may have found the answer to Rwanda unsolved question.
