Missing Kenyan activist found dead from botched abortion


A Kenyan human rights activist who went missing a week ago has been found dead at a city mortuary after a botched abortion, police said Tuesday.
Caroline Mwatha was reported missing last week, prompting Amnesty International to raise the alarm over her disappearance, given her work lobbying against extra judicial killings by police.


However investigations showed Mwatha, who was married, had been communicating with a boyfriend who sent her money for an abortion, a police statement said.

Popular Zimbabwean musician Mtukudzi dies


Zimbabwe’s most successful and internationally renowned musician Oliver Mtukudzi died on Wednesday after suffering from diabetes, ending a career that spanned four decades and 67 albums, local media reported.

The 66-year-old singer, affectionately known as “Tuku”, died at a local clinic on Wednesday afternoon, the state-owned daily Herald and privately-owned NewsDay reported on their websites.

I have seen discussions on different social media platforms about the bill that government is yet to introduce in Parliament regulating musicians and comedians in Uganda. Different people are arguing that these laws are Targeting different individuals and some musicians are vowing to fight these regulations which will be difficult to them of course.

One of the remarkable achievements of President Museveni has been creating a free environment for anyone to work and be rich. Ugandans are fully aware that any citizens is free to do anything that can bring income to him without facing any Political difficulties and most Young Ugandans have taken advantage of this and they’re filthy rich. People who have tested this and perhaps tried business in other countries will tell you that Uganda is a heaven on Earth.

Political Sergeant music barred from drinking places

Police in Kyotera district has banned bars and other public places within the district from playing the Kyandondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine’s two hit songs Kyarenga and Tuliyambala Engule.

One of the suspects charged with treason over the alleged stoning of President Yoweri Museveni’s car during the Arua Municipality by-election chaos last year, Thursday collapsed in at Gulu Magistrate’s court.

Ms Caroline Nalubowa, 28, had appeared with 31 of her co-accused including Kyaddondo East Member of Parliament (MP) Mr Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and Arua Municipality MP, Mr Kassiano Wadri, before Grade One Magistrate, Mr Isaac Imram Kintu.
